The Addiction Focus blog is a facility provided by Addictions UK to enable addiction counsellors, clients, and the friends/families of addicts to share their experiences with others.  The goal is to provide a cathartic experience for those attempting to meet the challenge of addiction, as well as compiling valuable ideas and experiences for Internet users looking for information on addiction.

Submissions to Addiction Focus can take the form of:

• A testimonial
• Your experience with addiction/recovery
• A comment on a subject related to addiction
• A recommendation of a useful addiction-related resource

To submit your article to be posted on the Addiction Focus blog, please email to the address at the bottom of this page.

Please Note:

• The preferred length of articles is 250-500 words.
• Articles below 250 words can still be used and will be posted along with other shorter articles.
• If you have a long story to tell that needs more than 500 words, consider breaking it up into several shorter articles.
• To preserve confidentiality – aside from articles by counsellors – all articles will be published under a pseudonym.
• All articles submitted for publication must be original material and not copied from any other source.
• Some minor editing to grammar and punctuation may be carried out before publication however no changes will be made to the substance of an article without the permission of the author.
